I’ve noticed all my Bloglovin’ blogs mentioning how awesome Fall is and how much they’ve missed it, and realized that I have very mixed feelings about this season. On one hand, I love cardigans, homemade scarves and the smells of baking. I adore the colors of the leaves as they change and that ‘new’ feeling of Fall that I’m fairly certain comes with associating this time of the year with the start of school. On the other hand, Fall holds a lot of bitter sweet memories. To top off the rush of emotions that accompanies this particular weather change, I have to give up my sundresses – and, I’m the most comfortable when I’m barefoot and wearing a cotton sundress.
This year, I’ve invested in leggings and tights as well as DIY’d some fairly cute cardigans – we’re going to see if I can hang on to my comfy wardrobe without having to fall back on wearing jeans. I greatly dislike jeans – preferring skirts and dresses is probably the only traditionally feminine trait I have. So, this week, I’ll be going through my wardrobe and trying to acclimate it to the season. I also have a ton of reading to do for philosophy, a pillowcase tutorial to finish, a Bamboo cover tutorial (!!), and a few other odds and ends. I’ve also attacked my yarn stash and have started turning out handwarmers and scarves – some of these may make their way into the shop as I destash the boxes and boxes of yarn I’ve collected over the years.
Oh! And, ArtistChild is out of school this week, so she’ll be going to campus with me! Expect pictures! ♥
Have A Great Monday!
♥
Shai

Woooo!!!!!! Can’t wait to see her on campus :D
My grandmother tried to keep her Wednesday night until Thursday. She said ‘I can’t. Jesus is watching me, and then I get to go to class with him!’.
She’s at the (very confused) grandmother’s house now, instead. :P
roflmao. That’s great!
I love fall myself. We need to see some pics of this cardigan you made, sounds cute!
I have pics and tutorials coming up! :D ♥ If I can ever get a free moment with a camera when it’s not dark outside, that is!
I’m having a hard time not falling back into jeans, especially since I don’t have many that fit my growing belly anyway.
I may have some maternity tops. :o I’ll have to keep an eye out when I’m going through my wardrobe.
I love fall! Although I use to love my jeans, since I have gained some weight they are not comfortable and I am not buying new ones. If I am at home I am happy to be curled up in sweats and a t-shirt. I love the fall baking and seeing all the usually beautiful colors that we are surrounded with!
